HI I AM HIGY FUNG,
a woman lives in one of the busiest cities on earth.
I think anyone who likes to bring peace, joy and health into life and live in Hong Kong is almost like the training to win the champion in the Olympic.
This has been my goal though for more than a decade. Not because I have been a yoga and body & mind teacher, mainly due to noises, materialism and social instability can drive me towards a walking dead if my inner life is not stronger than the outer circumstances.
The six friends and Sue, you can find in my book “High Time for your Closest Friend”, always come to strengthen and lighten my inner life.
They will keep talking to you here in my BLOG (SHARING).
They will share with you many more daily twists and how they twist them to treats. Minor treats pile up each day will bring abundance in wisdom and happiness. Even to start with, your days become immediately brighter with smiles and ease in the mind.
After their stories, practical exercises are followed to let you create your own instant treats for your body and your mind.
I believe love can increase endlessly. My vision here is to cultivate more love in a moment of time, so that it overflows and penetrates to all who find it a blessing.
MY CONTACTS
My friends in the book and I will write the blog every other week. Please leave your email HERE, so we can remind you every time when our juicy treats come up. We are also very happy to hear your feedbacks. You can contact me via Email and Facebook.
MY BIOGRAPHY
Since 2003 I have been registered with the Yoga Alliance and I am an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher 500. I trained with renowned yoga masters in America, Australia and England; focusing on body alignment, precision of movement, and therapeutic yoga. Currently, I teach workshops and classes with thematic emphases on stretching the body and mind, with an aim to love oneself through the mind and to enter this self love from our body.
In my younger days, I was an amateur modern dancer and I have kept myself in touch with dance, art and movement therapies. Bringing holistic healing into my teaching has proved to be a huge blessing to myself and my students.
On the academic front, degrees in Translation and Interpretation and in Cultural and Literary Studies, as well as attaining membership of the Chartered Institute of Linguists of London, have made me fluent in English, Putonghua (Mandarin) and, of course, my first language, Cantonese. All these have helped me to teach multi-cultural classes and workshops over the years. I enjoy the opportunities of extending myself with people from far from my home center.
I am so blessed to be with students with greatly varied backgrounds, including expatriates in the finance industry, university students, mental health patients, senior citizens and the many wonderful unique people who make up the community I live in.
